Mark trained in Edinburgh and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996. He then ventured overseas to work with the big four in Malaysia and had encompassed varied experiences in London including a PLC. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and has extensive experience providing accountancy services to various types of businesses. Mark works with a diverse group of owner managed businesses from sole trader to limited companies.
In addition to his responsibilities within the firm, Mark is the treasurer of a charity organisation: The Edinburgh Chinese Community School. He has spent the last twenty years supporting and fundraising for the school.
Charlotte has worked as a lecturer in a business school before deciding to help run the family businesses. Her experience in the catering sector and her rare multilingual skills is the key asset of the firm. Most of her clients are of ethnic backgrounds and are involved in food businesses. Due to the nature of her work and portfolio of her clientele, Charlotte is known to offer comprehensive services of guiding her clients from business start-up to day-to-day financial management.
Charlotte is also a volunteer for The Edinburgh Chinese Community School for many years. She helps organising activity days and events for fundraising.
Bill is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University with an MSc in Accounting. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2017 and worked for a medium size commercial firm as an accountant for about 10 years before moving into practice firm. He joined Tang & Co in May 2019 and is actively involved in management and looks after the day-to-day needs of a wide portfolio of clients. He is also a native Mandarin speaker.
He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and engages in DIY during his spare time.
CK is a qualified Chartered Accountant and was admitted a Fellow of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in 2006. He was trained in the big four in Kuala Lumpur as an auditor before moving on to be a Finance Manager and later as a Group Accountant for a public listed company in Malaysia. In 2005, he decided to move to UK with his wife and has then worked in the financial services sector for more than 10 years in area of investment accounting and regulatory reporting before joining Tang & Co in January 2020.
CK has two young children and spends most of his free time with his family. His favourite past time is hill walking, cycling, and trying to teach his children to be multilingual.
Kin Yew became a Certified Practising Accountant, CPA (Aust.), in 2015. He ventured into a public practise firm for 3 years as an auditor. He then stepped out to commercial lines that encompassed a wide range of businesses including pharmaceutical, investment banking, and retail in Malaysia for a few years. In 2019, with the opportunity of working abroad, he worked in the finance sector in China for 3 years focusing on the property development industry. He specialised in financial / management reporting and budgeting before joining Tang & Co in December 2021.
He is an outdoor person and is also well versed in multiple languages. He likes travelling during his spare time.
